The notification amends the Insecticides Rules, 1971. The amendments introduce digital filing requirements for licensing and reporting by manufacturers and importers.
Applications for grant of licence to manufacture, sell, stock, exhibit for sale, or distribute insecticides are required to be submitted in digital mode. Manufacturers and importers are required to maintain records in digital form and submit monthly returns relating to technical grade and formulated insecticides in prescribed formats.
“Every manufacturer or importer shall maintain in digital form of such sale, manufacture or import of technical Grade Insecticide and formulated Insecticide and submit the monthly statement or return to the licensing officer, in Appendix D1 to Form III and Appendix D2 to Form III respectively within fifteen days from the closing of the month.”
