Ministry of Steel has notified the Steel and Steel Products (Quality Control) Amendment Order, 2026 amending the Steel and Steel Products (Quality Control) Order, 2024.
The amendment provides that enforcement of the IS Number, IS Title and related entries at Serial Numbers 23 and 129 of Schedule I shall not be operative for three years from the date of publication in the Official Gazette. It also provides that enforcement of the IS Number, IS Title and related entries at Serial Numbers 51, 52 and 53 of Schedule I shall not be operative up to March 31, 2027.
