Fertiliser (Inorganic, Organic or Mixed) (Control) Seventh Amendment Order, 2026

The order is issued by the Ministry of Agriculture and Farmers Welfare in exercise of powers conferred by section 3 of the Essential Commodities Act, 1955 (10 of 1955), to further amend the Fertiliser (Inorganic, Organic or Mixed) (Control) Order, 1985. The principal Order was published vide G.S.R. 758(E), dated 25th September, 1985, and was last amended vide S.O. 2105(E), dated 27th April, 2026.

In clause 2 of the principal Order, in sub-clause (h) and sub-clause (ooa), the words “and Bio Gas plants” are inserted after the words “Compressed Bio Gas plants”. In clause 8, sub-clause (3), the Seventh proviso is substituted to provide that manufacturers of Fermented Organic Manure and Liquid Fermented Organic Manure shall not be required to obtain the authorisation letter under sub-clause (3) of clause 8 for a period of ten years from the date of publication of this Seventh Amendment Order. In Schedule VIII, in the heading “Organic Carbon Enhancer from Compressed Bio Gas plants”, the words “and Bio Gas plants” are inserted after the word “plants”. The order is issued under F. No. 4-8/2026-Fert. Law and signed by Franklin L. Khobung, Joint Secretary.
