Bureau of Indian Standards issued this notification under Rule 15(1) of the Bureau of Indian Standards Rules, 2018.
The notification establishes eight Indian Standards effective June 23, 2026: IS 5681:2026 (General Meteorological Liquid-in-Glass Thermometers), IS 5870:2026 (Glass Enclosures for Internal Lighting of Passenger Coaches), IS 7219:2026 (Determination of Protein by Kjeldahl Method), IS 8697:2026 (Export Packaging of Glass Container Ware), IS 8751 (Part 2):2026 (Footwear Sizes in Mondopoint System), IS 8787:2026 (Principles of Design, Construction and Use of Liquid-in-Glass Thermometers), IS 19856:2026 (Preparation of Cūraṇam Tablet), and IS 19857:2026 (Preparation of Kuṭinīr Tablet). Corresponding prior versions of six of these standards (1992, 1970, 1973, 1977, 1978, and 2018/ISO 386:1977 editions respectively) are withdrawn effective December 23, 2026; no prior standards apply for IS 19856 and IS 19857.
