Bureau of Indian Standards has notified, in pursuance of sub-rule (1) of Rule 15 of the Bureau of Indian Standards Rules, 2018, that the Indian standards listed in the Schedule have been established on the dates indicated against each entry. Where existing standards are listed as being withdrawn, both the new and old standards remain concurrently in force until the withdrawal date indicated.
The notification establishes eight Indian standards, all with an establishment date of 06 July 2026, as set out in the Schedule: IS 302 (Part 2/Sec 10):2026 (Floor Treatment Machines and Wet Scrubbing Machines); IS 302 (Part 2/Sec 17):2026 (Blankets, Pads, Clothing and Similar Flexible Heating Appliances); IS 302 (Part 2/Sec 28):2026 (Sewing Machines); IS 302 (Part 2/Sec 37):2026 (Commercial Electric Doughnut Fryers and Deep Fat Fryers); IS 302 (Part 2/Sec 48):2026 (Commercial Electric Grillers and Toasters); IS 302 (Part 2/Sec 98):2026 (Humidifiers); IS 17017 (Part 23):2026 (Electric Vehicle Conductive Charging System, Part 23: d.c. Electric Vehicle Supply Equipment), which is a first revision replacing IS 17017 (Part 23):2021, with the earlier standard to be withdrawn on 06 January 2027; and IS 19762:2026 (Interconnection and Interoperability of Inverter-Based Resources with Associated Transmission Electric Power Systems). This applies to manufacturers, testing bodies, and users of the specified categories of electrical appliances, electric vehicle charging equipment, and inverter-based resource systems.
