Central Government has appointed a date for coming into force of specified provisions of the Jan Vishwas (Amendment of Provisions) Act, 2026, relating to the Motor Vehicles Act, 1988.
Central Government appoints 15th August, 2026 as the date on which the provisions of the Jan Vishwas (Amendment of Provisions) Act, 2026, in so far as they relate to serial number 51 and the entries relating thereto in the Schedule to the said Act, relating to the Motor Vehicles Act, 1988, shall come into force. This applies to entities and persons governed by the amended provisions of the Motor Vehicles Act, 1988 as specified at serial number 51 of the Schedule to the Jan Vishwas (Amendment of Provisions) Act, 2026.
