Minimum Wages & VDA for Contract Labour in Andhra Pradesh from April to September 2026

The notification is issued by the Commissioner of Labour, Andhra Pradesh, with reference to G.O. Ms.No.11, LET & F (Lab.II) Department, dated 17/01/2012, published in Gazette No.1149, dated 30-03-2012.

The notification specifies the minimum wages and Variable Dearness Allowance (VDA) payable to contract labour for the period 01/04/2026 to 30/09/2026, under Rule 25(v)(b) of the A.P. Contract Labour (R&A) Rules, 1971.

Wages are linked at 847 CPI points, with CPI points notified as on 01/04/2026 stated as 1923 points. The VDA computation shows previous VDA points (01.10.2025 to 31.03.2026) as 1886, with VDA to be paid from 01/04/2026 to 30/09/2026 computed as 1923 minus 847, equalling 1076 points. The notification lists Basic Wage, Cost of Living Allowance per point, VDA for 1076 points, and Total Wage across categories: Highly Skilled (Supervisor/Foreman/Chargeman and similar categories), Skilled (Lab Technician/Fitter/Electrician and similar categories), Semi-Skilled (Asst. Welder/Asst. Carpenter and similar categories), Unskilled (Helpers/Attender/Watchman and similar categories), and separately for Office Staff (Manager, Steno/Accountant, Clerk/Typist/Cashier/Data Entry Operator, Unskilled).

The notification is applicable to contract labour and employers covered under the A.P. Contract Labour (R&A) Rules, 1971.
