BIS Amends Withdrawal Dates for Three Indian Standards under Two Prior Notifications

The Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS), under the Department of Consumer Affairs, issued a corrigendum amending two prior BIS notifications published in the Gazette of India, Part III, Section 4, in pursuance of Sub-rule (1) of Rule 15 of the Bureau of Indian Standards Rules, 2018.

Two amendments are made as follows:

Amendment 1 – Reference: HQ-PUB012/4/2020-PUB-BIS (510) dated February 01, 2023 (published February 09, 2023): In the schedule at Sl. No. 01, Column (5), the date “31 January 2024” is substituted with “30 April 2027”. This extends the withdrawal date for the standard listed at Sl. No. 01 of that notification by over three years.

Amendment 2 – Reference: HQ-PUB013/1/2020-PUB-BIS (1373) dated November 24, 2025 (published December 03, 2025): In the schedule at Sl. Nos. 02 and 04, Column (5), the date “20 May 2026” is substituted with “20 May 2027”. This extends the withdrawal dates for the standards at Sl. Nos. 02 and 04 of that notification by one year.

The amendments affect the withdrawal dates specified in Column (5) of the respective schedules. No other changes are made to those notifications.
