The Office of the Controller General of Patents, Designs and Trade Marks (CGPDTM) has been receiving representations and queries from stakeholders regarding the mandatory e-KYC process. An Open House Session was held on August 4, 2026. The original last date for completion of the mandatory e-KYC was August 9, 2026.
The last date for completion of the mandatory e-KYC has been extended from August 9, 2026 to August 31, 2026. All stakeholders of the Intellectual Property Office who have not yet completed the mandatory e-KYC process are required to do so on or before August 31, 2026. Stakeholders experiencing technical issues may write to the email addresses specified in the notice. A separate open house session to address technical difficulties will be announced separately.
