The Central Board of Indirect Taxes and Customs has amended Notification No. 36/2001-Customs (N.T.) dated August 3, 2001 by substituting Table-1, Table-2 and Table-3 prescribing tariff values for specified goods.
The revised values cover crude and RBD palm oil, palmolein, crude soybean oil, brass scrap, gold, silver and areca nuts. The tariff value for areca nuts remains unchanged at US$11,574 per metric tonne, while the specified tariff value for silver under Table-2 remains US$2,267 per kilogram. The specified gold tariff value is US$1,468 per 10 grams.
