Categorisation of Advertisement Violations as Major/Minor for Levy of Penalty Under Telangana RERA

References prior Proceedings No. TNRERA/A3/1840/2026-1 dated 16.06.2026 (directions on advertisement/promotion) and Authority resolutions dated 09.04.2026, 24.04.2026, 29.05.2026, 18.06.2026 (fixing penalty quantum by category).

Violations categorized as Major (unregistered project advertisement; missing/unreadable TNRERA registration number or Form-C QR code; misleading QR code; price comparison with “Market Price” or other projects) and Minor (partial registration/QR code disclosure gaps; missing TNRERA website address; missing promoter office address; exempted-project ads not marked “RERA Exempted Projects”).

Penalty by project cost: Major — Rs. 5,00,000 (≥Rs.100 crore) / Rs. 2,00,000 (<Rs.100 crore); Minor — Rs. 1,00,000 (≥Rs.100 crore) / Rs. 50,000 (<Rs.100 crore). Uncategorized violations to be decided case-by-case. Authority retains right to impose higher penalty under the Act.

Clarification (dated 03.07.2026): States “wherever the word ‘Form-C’ appears in the circular 1st cited that shall be read as ‘Form-C and Form-F, if applicable.'” Forms part of the original circular.
