Applicable Act/Rule: Electricity Act, 2003 | DERC Green Energy Open Access Regulations, 2024
Applicable Section/Rule: Regulations 2(l), 2(p) & 8(a)
The Delhi Electricity Regulatory Commission amended the Delhi Electricity Regulatory Commission (Terms and Conditions for Green Energy Open Access) Regulations, 2024. The amendment applies across the National Capital Territory of Delhi.
The requirement of being “connected at 11kV or above” has been removed from the definitions of “Entity” and “Green Energy Open Access Consumer” and from Regulation 8(a). Eligibility is based on a contracted demand or sanctioned load of 100 kW or more, through a single connection or multiple connections aggregating 100 kW or more, within the area of the same distribution licensee. For consumers with captive generating plants, no load limitation applies in relation to contracted demand/sanctioned load with Discoms.
