Directorate General of Mines Safety, Ministry of Labour and Employment, issued two notifications specifying the forms of notice to be used for initial medical examination and periodical medical examination under Rule 111 of the Occupational Safety, Health and Working Conditions (Central) Rules, 2026. The notifications prescribe the forms to be issued to persons required to undergo medical examination and their applicability to mines.
G.S.R. 605(E) specifies the form of notice for initial medical examination under sub-rule (1) of Rule 111. The notice is to be issued by an employer to the person to be examined and sent to the examination authority. The notification applies to all mines.
G.S.R. 603(E) specifies the form of notice for periodical medical examination under sub-rule (2) of Rule 111. The notice is to be issued by a manager to the person to be examined and sent to the examination authority. The notification applies to all mines.
