Government of Telangana issued draft State Rules under the Code on Wages, 2019, the Industrial Relations Code, 2020, the Occupational Safety, Health and Working Conditions Code, 2020, and the Code on Social Security, 2020. The draft rules were published for inviting objections and suggestions from the general public and stakeholders before finalisation. The notifications state that the draft rules are proposed under the respective Labour Codes and are intended to replace the corresponding State rules framed under the repealed labour enactments to the extent provided under the respective Codes.

The draft Code on Wages (Telangana) Rules, 2026 prescribe provisions relating to minimum wages, constitution of advisory bodies and technical committee, wage calculation methodology, payment of wages, bonus, forms, registers, returns, and other matters under the Code on Wages, 2019.

The draft Industrial Relations (Telangana State) Rules, 2026 prescribe provisions relating to settlements, conciliation proceedings, works committees, negotiating unions and negotiating councils, standing orders, industrial tribunals, strikes, lock-outs, retrenchment, lay-off, closure, forms, registers and other procedural requirements under the Industrial Relations Code, 2020.

The draft Occupational Safety, Health and Working Conditions (Telangana) Rules, 2026 prescribe provisions relating to registration of establishments, licensing, duties of employers and employees, appointment letters, annual health examination, reporting of accidents and occupational diseases, welfare facilities, working conditions, contract labour, inter-State migrant workers, factories, building and other construction work, mines and other matters governed under the Occupational Safety, Health and Working Conditions Code, 2020.

The draft Code on Social Security (Telangana) Rules, 2026 prescribe provisions relating to electronic governance, constitution and functioning of State Social Security Boards, registration, cess administration, inspector-cum-facilitators, welfare schemes, contributions, claims, appeals, forms, returns and other procedural requirements under the Code on Social Security, 2020.
