Applicable Act/Rule: Insolvency and Bankruptcy Code, 2016
Applicable Section/Rule: Clause (aa) of sub-section (1) of section 196
The circular is issued by the Insolvency and Bankruptcy Board of India to all registered Insolvency Professionals, Recognised Insolvency Professional Entities, and Registered Insolvency Professional Agencies. It follows Circular No. IBBI/II/92/2026 dated March 6, 2026, which mandated filing of electronic forms PGIRP-1 to PGIRP-6 to monitor insolvency resolution processes for personal guarantors to corporate debtors, with timelines from March 31, 2026 to June 30, 2026. Representations were received from Insolvency Professionals and Insolvency Professional Agencies requesting an extension, citing technicalities and transitional difficulties with the electronic platform.
Last date for submission of all applicable PGIRP forms as per paragraph 9 of Circular No. IBBI/II/92/2026 is extended till September 30, 2026, and penalties for delayed submission or modification of these forms shall be levied only after September 30, 2026. The circular further directs that Insolvency Professionals shall ensure all information submitted via the PGIRP forms is accurate, truthful, and consistent with supporting documents, noting instances of incorrect or incomplete information (such as entering zero values in mandatory fields) being submitted. Timely and precise filing remains the responsibility of the Insolvency Professional. Clarifications may be sought via FAQs on www.ibbi.gov.in, and technical issues may be reported to support.form@ibbi.gov.in.
