The draft rules were published on January 28, 2026 vide G.S.R. 66(E), inviting objections and suggestions within thirty days; no objections or suggestions were received. These rules are titled the Drugs (Ninth Amendment) Rules, 2026, made after consultation with the Drugs Technical Advisory Board.
In Rule 43A of the Drugs Rules, 1945, the words “Cochin and Thiruvananthapuram” are substituted with “Cochin, Thiruvananthapuram and Navi Mumbai.”
