Central Government has notified revised standards for telecommunication equipment through the Telecommunication Engineering Centre, Department of Telecommunications, Ministry of Communications.
The following revised standards are notified for telecommunication equipment: TEC 48101:2026 Test Guide for Network Management Systems; TEC 85131:2026 Test Guide for Micro Duct Optical Fibre Cable; TEC 85130:2026 Generic Requirements for Micro Duct Optical Fibre Cable; TEC 91010:2026 Generic Requirements for Quantum-Safe Cryptographic Systems; and TEC 91000:2026 Generic Requirements for Quantum Key Distribution (QKD) System.
This applies to manufacturers, importers, and suppliers of the listed telecommunication equipment categories in India.
