In implementation of directions issued by the Department of Pharmaceuticals under paragraph 31 of the Drugs (Prices Control) Order, 2013 vide review order No. 31015/02/2025-Pricing dated 27.03.2026, and in supersession of the existing order S.O. 1575(E) dated 25.03.2026 (Sl. No. 58), NPPA has fixed/revised the ceiling price for Anti-rabies Immunoglobulin Injection (300 IU/ml, 1 ml) from Rs. 112.19 (ceiling price under NLEM, 2022) to Rs. 119.48, incorporating WPI impact of 0.64956% for the year 2026, exclusive of Goods and Services Tax as applicable.

Notes specify: manufacturers selling at prices above the revised ceiling shall revise prices downward accordingly; manufacturers with existing MRP lower than the revised ceiling shall continue to maintain such MRP under paragraph 13(2) of the DPCO, 2013; GST may be added only if actually paid or payable to Government; manufacturers shall issue price lists in Form-V under paragraph 24 of the DPCO, 2013; retailers/distributors shall display price lists per paragraph 24(4); existing manufacturers launching a “new drug” of the same dosage/strength shall apply for prior price approval in Form-I under Schedule-II of the DPCO, 2013; manufacturers shall furnish quarterly returns in Form-III of Schedule-II and give six months’ prior notice of discontinuation in Form-IV; non-compliant manufacturers shall be liable to deposit the overcharged amount with interest under the DPCO, 2013 read with the Essential Commodities Act, 1955; and prior price orders for the formulation stand superseded.
