Revision of Tariff Values for Edible Oils, Brass Scrap, Gold, Silver and Areca Nuts

Effective Date: June 16, 2026

Principal notification No. 36/2001-Customs (N.T.) dated August 3, 2001 was last amended vide Notification No. 54/2026-Customs (N.T.) dated June 11, 2026. In exercise of powers under Section 14(2) of the Customs Act, 1962, the Central Board of Indirect Taxes and Customs has substituted TABLE-1, TABLE-2 and TABLE-3 of the said notification with the following revised tariff values:

TABLE-1 (US $ Per Metric Tonne):

  • Crude Palm Oil – 1232
  • RBD Palm Oil – 1238
  • Others-Palm Oil – 1235
  • Crude Palmolein – 1247
  • RBD Palmolein – 1250
  • Others-Palmolein – 1249
  • Crude Soya bean Oil – 1248
  • Brass Scrap (all grades) – 7814.

 

TABLE-2 (US $):

  • Gold (S.No. 194 of Notification No. 45/2025-Customs) – 1348 per 10 grams
  • Silver (S.No. 195 of Notification No. 45/2025-Customs) – 2175 per kilogram
  • Silver in any form (excluding foreign currency coins, jewellery and silver articles) – 2175 per kilogram
  • Gold bars, gold coins (≥99.5% gold content) and gold findings – 1348 per 10 grams.

 

TABLE-3 (US $ Per Metric Tonne):

  • Areca nuts – 10785.
