Mandatory update of Form IX Nominee details by FBOs & auto-approval provision for Non-Form C modifications in FoSCoS

FSSAI has noticed that many Food Business Operators (FBOs) are not updating the details of their Form IX nominee, i.e., the person responsible for ensuring compliance with the conditions of the food business license. When this person changes or leaves the company, FBOs must inform the authorities, but many fail to do so. This leads to outdated records, making it difficult for regulatory authorities to monitor compliance effectively.

Revised SOP for Extension of Registration of Real Estate Projects

The Uttar Pradesh Real Estate Regulatory Authority (U.P. RERA) has issued a comprehensive revision to its Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) for the extension of registration of real estate projects. This updated SOP consolidates and supersedes all previous guidelines and circulars issued between 2019 and 2022.

The Central Board of Indirect Taxes & Customs (CBIC) is launching the “Ekal Anubandh” initiative to streamline customs procedures and reduce the administrative burden on importers and exporters. This initiative introduces the Single All-India Multi-purpose Electronic Bond (SEB), replacing multiple transaction-wise bonds required at different ports.

Revision of Working Hours for Labourers to Prevent Sunstroke Due to Rising Temperatures in Kerala 

With the onset of summer in Kerala and a rapid increase in daytime temperatures, workers engaged in outdoor labour across various regions of the state are vulnerable to sunstroke. Considering public welfare and worker safety, the working hours of labourers employed in the state are restructured in accordance with Rules 24 and 25 of the Kerala Minimum Wages Rules, 1958. The new schedule will be applicable from February 11, 2025, to May 10, 2025 with the following revised conditions to be strictly followed by inspection officers.
