Applicable Act/Rule: Static and Mobile Pressure Vessels (Unfired) Rules, 2016 (SMPV(U) Rules, 2016); Petroleum Rules, 2002
Petroleum and Explosives Safety Organisation (PESO), formerly the Department of Explosives, has issued a circular addressed to all stakeholders regarding the process for transfer of competency for a competent person attached with an existing company to another company or individual entity, or vice versa, under SMPV(U) Rules, 2016 and Petroleum Rules, 2002.
An existing competent person seeking transfer of competency from an existing company to another company or an individual entity or vice versa may submit their application through the amendment option available in the online module. Such applications shall be processed for transfer of the Competent Person approval/recognition from the present organization to the proposed organization or individual or vice versa, subject to submission of all required documents and details as specified in the online system.
