Extension of Registration of Real Estate Projects Due to Force Majeure
he Government of India, Ministry of Housing & Urban Affairs (Housing Division), issued an Advisory No. O-17024/66/2018-HOUSING-UD/E-9042100 dated July 31, 2026, advising all Real Estate Regulatory Authorities that they may issue suitable orders or directions for grant of extension of registration and corresponding completion timelines of registered Real Estate Projects whose completion date, revised completion date, or extended completion date falls on or after February 28, 2026, for a period of four months, by treating the West Asia situation as a “war” for the purpose of invocation of the Force Majeure clause.
Review and Re-allocation of Wheat Export Quota
The Directorate General of Foreign Trade issued the Trade Notice in continuation of Public Notice No. 49/2025-26 dated February 24, 2026 and Public Notice No. 05/2026-27 dated April 30, 2026 concerning allocation of wheat under HS codes 10011900 and 10019910. The Competent Authority has decided to review utilization of quantities already allocated and assess requirements for further allocation of unutilized quota.
Foreign Assets of Small Taxpayers-Disclosure Scheme Rules, 2026
The Central Government, in exercise of the powers conferred by section 143 of the Finance Act, 2026, notified the Foreign Assets of Small Taxpayers-Disclosure Scheme Rules, 2026. The Rules prescribe provisions relating to definitions, valuation of assets, amount payable, declaration of assets or income located outside India, orders by the income-tax authority, payment intimation, certification of payment, and electronic procedures and forms under the scheme.
