Operationalisation of ISIN-Level Freeze of Promoter Holdings
The circular operationalises the freezing of holdings of promoters and promoter group, including their associates, at the ISIN level under Regulation 24(i)(ea) of the SEBI (Buy-back of Securities) Regulations, 2018. The provision was inserted through the amendment to the Buy-back Regulations dated July 01, 2026. The freeze applies from the date of passing of the resolution by the board of directors or the special resolution, as applicable, until the closing of the buy-back offer.

Establishment of New Indian Standards and Withdrawal of Superseded Standards by BIS
The Bureau of Indian Standards, Department of Consumer Affairs, notified that the Indian Standards specified in the Schedule were established on August 03, 2026. The standards specified in the fourth column of the Schedule, where applicable, shall remain in force concurrently until the withdrawal dates specified in the fifth column.

CDSCO Clarification on Applications for Unapproved New Drugs
The Central Drugs Standard Control Organization (New Drugs Division) stated that various applications had been received for permission to import and market new drugs that were not approved anywhere in the world, where Phase III Global Clinical Trials (GCTs) were ongoing or had been completed with participation of Indian subjects. The matter was examined by an internal technical committee within CDSCO.
