Extension of Companies Compliance Facilitation Scheme, 2026

Ministry of Corporate Affairs introduced the Companies Compliance Facilitation Scheme, 2026 (CCFS-2026) vide General Circular No. 01/2026 dated February 24, 2026, to provide an opportunity to companies to complete their pending statutory filings.

Medical Devices (Third Amendment) Rules, 2026

The Ministry of Health and Family Welfare issued the Medical Devices (Third Amendment) Rules, 2026, further amending the Medical Devices Rules, 2017.

The amendments insert “and Quality Management System” after “standards” in Rule 19H(2)(v) and Rule 19J(2)(v), substitute the marginal heading of Rule 19 with “Government Medical Device Testing laboratories”, and insert “or European Union countries” after “or Japan” in Rule 63(1), Proviso (iv).

Extension of Validity of Registration and Completion Timelines of Real Estate Projects

The U.P. Real Estate Regulatory Authority issued directions concerning extension of the validity of registration and corresponding completion timelines of registered real estate projects in the context of the Ministry of Housing & Urban Affairs, Government of India, Office Memorandum No. 17024/66/2018-HOUSING UD/E-9042100 dated July 31, 2026, relating to delay attributed to Force Majeure conditions arising from the prevailing West Asia situation.

ESIC Medical Institutions and Education Initiatives for ESI Beneficiaries

The Employees’ State Insurance Corporation (ESIC) has provided information on its healthcare and medical education infrastructure under the ESI Scheme. The ESI Scheme is implemented in 728 of 787 districts across the country. ESIC has 169 hospitals, 1,603 dispensaries, 17 medical colleges, 2 dental colleges, 2 nursing colleges and 3 paramedical colleges, supported by regional, sub-regional and branch offices.

EPFO: Employees’ Enrolment Campaign, 2026

The Employees’ Provident Fund Organisation (EPFO) issued a release regarding the Employees’ Enrolment Campaign, 2026 (EEC 2026), notified with effect from June 29, 2026. The Campaign provides a one-time opportunity to enrol eligible employees who remained outside EPF coverage during the period from April 1, 2009 to March 31, 2026.
